Bobby Jackson is one of the most likable players in the League. For the past decade, all he’s done is play the combo-guard role perfectly and stick big threes. I’ve never heard a disparaging word about the guy and, from the way he interacts with other players, it seems everyone thinks he’s a cool dude.
Aside from Donte Greene, that is.
The back-story on this is that the veterans on the Sacremende Kings have taken to filling the team’s rookies’ cars with popcorn if they fail to properly perform their duties. Jason Thompson, for example, had his car filled for repeatedly forgetting to bring bagels to shootaround. Not long after, Donte Green got similar treatment plus the phrase “Season Aint Over Rook” care of Bobby Jackson for forgetting to bring fresh fruit. Unlike Thompson, however, Greene vowed not to take the hazing lying down.
And, naturally, he fought back by covering Bobby’s CL Benz in dog food, chocolate syrup, soy sauce, ketchup and mustard. Kinda weak since it’s all fixable with a hose, but there is a photo and I’m sorta busy, so here ya go. (via Sactown Royalty via Ball Don’t Lie)
I mean, if I had a nickel for every time some one told me “it’s your commitment to posting marginally interesting photos with unremarkable back-stories that really separates Both Teams Played Hard from all the other basketball blogs,” I would have…um, well…many nickels. Probably enough to fill a car even.
