Waiting for Mr. Kobe Bryant, the Kobemeister, Kobe Tai, the Kobe Beef, the Kobe Monster, the Cornerstone of the Los Angeles Lakers Franchise of the National Basketball Association

Though I do regret the current (and likely ongoing) uninspired run-up to All-Star Weekend currently taking place round these parts, the following video should completely re-instill all confidence surrounding our commitment to excellence.

Here we see what seems to be a British Adam Morrison lookalike discussing Kobe’s inability to play guitar, Shaq O’Neal’s rapping, the Canadian weather, high fives and Kurt Rambis.

At least on the surface.

In the subtext, he’s accomplishing something that can only be described as combining the works of Gandhi and Jesus. It’s easily the best thing I’ve seen in weeks and I’m half-tempted to quit my job to follow this guy around for the rest of my life, learning the sacred ways of humanity.

I believe Zach Harper of Talk Hoops put it best after I told him that I think the hat really ties the whole thing together. “The hat ties my whole life together.”

(Hat tips to @jeskeets and @talkhoops)
