You Can’t Say I Didn’t Warn You

by Jared Wade on January 7, 2009 at 11:34 am

Best known as the guy who transformed the word “baby” from a sexist term of endearment that old men use for young, sexy secretaries to an oft-impersonated exclamation one old man uses about young, black student-athletes, Dick Vitale will tonight be moving his ongoing assault on the English language and eardrums everywhere from the collegiate ranks to the NBA announcers’ table.

Yup, Dicke V will be doing the Heat/Nuggets color commentary on ESPN this evening.

Fortunately, the NBA hoops gods don’t hate us completely, as those with League Pass will be watching one of New Orleans/Utah or Detroit/Portland instead anyway.

No need to cry. It's just one game.

Indeed, Matt. So many good games on tonight.

And since Hawks/Magic is at 7:00 (or Boston/Houston at 7:30 if you aren’t sick of Celtic chatter yet), it’ll be really easy to go right from that to the 9:00 NOLA/Jazz and just side-step the Melo-less Dickie V game altogether.

Det/Por is at 10:00, for the record, which is nice. Staggered start times are always appreciated, schedule makers.
