NBA GMs: “Lose to the Knicks and You’re Fired”

As the NBA coaching ranks continue to draw a closer resemblance to Khmer Rouge Killing Fields by the day, Mike D’Antoni, from beneath his abundance of upper lip hair, is asking “What gives?

“Just because the Knicks beat somebody they have to fire the coach the next day? That’s the second one! I mean, come on! We’re not that bad. You guys are spreading some rumors, ‘well if the Knicks beat ‘em, then we gotta do something.’ “

The coaches in question are Reggie Theus, formerly of the Kings, and Eddie Jordan, formerly of the Wizards, and the fact that each got his “sendoff” loss at the hands was documented yesterday by Henry Abbott on TrueHoop.

For what it’s worth, Terrence Howard is also upset at the Maloofs.
