The fact that Paul Pierce lost a bunch of weight this summer has already been beaten to death — as those in Boston are wont to do. Regardless, it really does say a lot about a team’s desire to repeat when its two clear-cut leaders spend the months after winning a title not celebrating, but (1) shedding pounds, and (2) mainlining crystal meth.
